Description
System Parameters

The robotic cardboard furniture packaging stacking system is designed to allow different product packages to be placed on the same pallet, even when producing and transporting only one type of package to the automated robotic system at a time. At any given moment, only one type of package is supplied to the system. These packages are either transferred to the production buffer for accumulation or placed directly onto the pallet according to a predefined operator selected recipe. The system is capable of stacking products from the buffer and/or the production line according to selected recipe combinations.

This system consists of several distinct zones, each performing a specific function:

• Production feed conveyor system – prepares packages for the robot to pick up
• “Buffer” conveyor system accumulates boxes of the selected product type and format
• Cardboard pallet dispenser separates and delivers pallets one at a time into the robot’s work area.

Boxes with production items are placed on the pallet using a KUKA robot and a vacuum gripper designed by Techvitas Robotika. The gripper uses compressed air, operates quietly, and ensures low energy costs. The system is designed to operate continuously 24/7 without stopping. Fully stacked pallets are transported via roller conveyors. The stacked pallets are moved through safety curtains and transported to the automatic pallet wrapping machine.
